The older people’s programme, headed up by programme lead Sally Rogers sets out five key areas of activity in this year’s business plan. Projects include Dignity, Safeguarding, Early Intervention and Prevention and Dementia. The programme works across national health and social care policy perspectives to improve outcomes for older people regionally and locally. Part of this is about making national adult health and social care policy more age inclusive and person centred. Key national guidance for the programme is Putting People First, Transforming Adult Social Care and the National Dementia Strategy as well as linking work across to identified objectives in Healthy Ambitions.
