This event was targeted at anyone who holds some responsibility for the implementation of the Mental Capacity Act / Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards within their organisation. Such as Supervisory Bodies, Managing Authorities, Acute Hospitals, Care Home Managers, Care Home Networks and Clinical Governance Leads.

As a follow on from the SCIE MCA/DOLs Audit Event, YHIP held an MCA / DOLs Audit Clinic. The purpose of this workshop was to spend more time looking at the SCIE audit tools and assessing their potential for use. The workshop looked at this in a regional context as well, with the aim that it will be possible to generate as wide a spread and range of audits as possible. This will help to develop the regional commitment to improvement through audit and highlight any areas which may need further development support.
