The new 'Living Well' campaign has produced a number of TV adverts. They feature real people with dementia who declare 'I have dementia I also have a life'. The advertisements are designed to increase public awareness about the condition and to outline simple things everyone can do to help people live well with dementia.
The Alzheimer's Society also went backstage on the set of the TV commercial to
speak to Peter, Carole, Bill and Rachael all of whom live with dementia
and feature in the campaign, about their experiences. They spoke to
Director General of Social Care David Behan, Linda Seaward of
Alzheimer's Society, Greg Delaney of advertising agency DLKW, art
director Jackie Steers and copywriter Ira Joseph as well as the director
Nadav Kander. Revealing interviews consider the background to the
campaign including the National Dementia Strategy, the creative ideas
behind the shoot, and the excitement of being on set. The 'making of' video is below:
